Here is an UPDATE of the progress Mike and Dishtronix are making
in reviving these two traditional American amateur radio companies.
THE RE-BIRTH AND RE-BUILDING OF
ALPHA RF SYSTEMS AND TEN-TEC Corp.

The building seen above and equipment seen below are the new upgraded and operational Printed Circuit Board Assembly facility. The facility was put together in the summer of 2016, shortly after Mike acquired Ten-Tec.
They are not fully moved in but are already producing RX-340 boards here and shipping them to Tennessee.
The shelves shown in the picture in the Gallery below are loaded with supplies just for making RX-340s.
The heart of the facility is the two MYDATA (of Sweden) assembly machines with 96 and 256 component reel capability. They have bar code inventory for tracking and management.
The Electrovert Bravo 8150 8 zone lead free reflow oven is capable of reflowing BGA packages.
There is even X-Ray inspection of the BGA attachment to insure the process has executed correctly.
There are three wave solder machines - two in lead and one lead free machine which is awaiting a $15,000 fill up of solder at $40.00/lb.
Most other amateur radio companies use contract manufacturing (outsourcing) but Dishtronix prefers to design boards for their own process and to manufacture in-house, thus assuring consistent quality through riggerous controlling of the end-to-end process.
This also makes inventory control and purchasing of components easier. How many small repair shops have an X-ray machine for inspecting solder quality?
Alpha RF Systems is operational in Longmont Colorado.
Ten-Tec is operational in Sevierville Tennessee
