AMP-KEY Timing Recommendations

The following are my suggestions for setting the timing parameters of the transceiver:

HANG-TIME:

For Full-QSK Amplifiers (i.e., Vacuum Relays or PIN-Diode Switching), set the hang time to equal the TXD.

For Non-QSK Amplifiers (i.e., Ameritron Tube Amps), a much longer hang-time is required to prevent the T/R relay from attempting to follow the CW keying. This parameter may vary from 1/4 second, up to 2 or 3 seconds. This setting is dependant on keying speed and operator preference.
