THE EXTENSION:

 

A 2m extension for an existing 12m HD fiberglass pole from 12m to 14m height.  This extension kit adds 2 additional segments to the bottom of the existing 12m fiberglass pole, extending it two more meters, while maintaing the same strength as the original 12m pole.  This converts it to the new 14m HD fiberglass pole.


Note: this kit consists of 3 new segments; the bottom segment

of the existing 12m pole must be replaced with a new segment.

Using the Quad-Kit                with the  14m HD Pole

 

It is easy to understand if we first focus on the original 12m HD fiberglass pole… in the center of my drawing.  

“Q” marks the position of the hub supporting the quad spreaders.

 

Notice that Q is at the junction of segments 8 and 9.              This is the only junction where the Quad-Hub fits.

This diameter is at the junction of segments 8 and 9 on the 12m XHD pole, but there are only 2 segments above that.
Thus, you cannot mount the Quad-Hub on this pole and have the full size of the Quad.

On the 14m HD pole, the junction of segments 8 and 9 have 4 segments above it.                                                    Thus the Quad can be mounted at its full size here.

If you currently have a 12m XHD pole and wish to use the optional Quad kit, you will need to order segments 11 and 12 for the original 12m HD pole and insert them into the 12m XHD pole (converting it to a 14m pole).
